Craving brownies? You’re in the right place! This is your one-stop shop for the best homemade brownie recipes. From fudgy to chewy and everything in between, you’ll find #AllTheBrownieRecipes your heart could want.

Is there a better chocolate dessert than a brownie? I’d have to say a resounding no! Whether you love classic chewy brownies, frosted, stuffed, bite-sized, bark-style, or topped with ice cream, when it comes to brownies, I am all in.
Today, I’ve gathered the most epic brownie recipes in one place. This is your ultimate roundup for all things brownies.
Let’s Talk Chocolate for Brownie Recipes
Before we dive into the recipes, let’s start with the most important ingredient: chocolate. Every great brownie begins here. The three most common baking chocolates you’ll find in stores are Hershey’s, Nestlé, and Ghirardelli.
All three work well for brownies, and I’ve used each at one time or another. Knowing a little about them can help you make a more informed choice for your recipe.
The type of chocolate also matters. For brownies, I recommend dark or semi-sweet chocolate. Milk chocolate works best as a topping or mix-in, rather than as the main chocolate.
Hershey, Nestle, and Ghirardelli Chocolate for Brownie Recipes
Hershey’s, Nestle, and Ghirardelli all offer baking chocolate found in the baking aisle. Each has subtle flavor notes that can influence your brownies. Hershey’s has a mild cocoa taste, Nestle offers a smooth, rich chocolate flavor, and Ghirardelli provides a deep, slightly bitter chocolate.
Choosing one over another can enhance your brownie experience depending on your preference.
Brownie Recipe Tips
Here are some simple tips for the best brownies:
- Avoid over-beating: Mix eggs and batter just until combined. Over-beating produces cake-like brownies instead of dense, fudgy ones.
- High-altitude adjustments: If you live above sea level, adding an extra egg or two helps provide needed moisture and keeps brownies from turning out too dry.
Baking Tips for Brownie Recipes
- Cool quickly: For an even texture, place the hot pan on a separate pan with ice cubes. This prevents a cookie-like bottom and ensures consistent texture throughout.
- Bake on a single oven rack: Avoid stacking pans on multiple levels. Steam from the lower pan can prevent the top pan from baking evenly.
- Sift dry ingredients: Fluffing flour, cocoa, and other dry ingredients improves binding and creates a better texture.
- Tap the pan: Lightly tapping the pan mid-bake releases excess air, giving brownies a denser, more even texture.
Let’s get to the Brownie Recipes!

Whether your brownie recipe is a traditional family favorite or a creative twist, there are endless possibilities. You can add nuts, nut butters, flavored chips, marshmallows, spices like cinnamon or nutmeg, or even bacon or a splash of booze.
And that’s just the brownie itself. Once you start talking frosting and toppings, things can get really delicious.

As Huey Lewis once said, “It’s hip to be square,” but brownies don’t have to be! Some of my favorite ways to enjoy them are anything but square. Brownie bark, also called brownie brittle, is a top pick. Crispy, chocolatey, often with nuts or toffee inside, it’s one of my favorite guilty pleasures with a glass of red wine.
Brownie bites are another favorite. Perfectly poppable and always delicious, they’re hard to resist.

Anyone who says they would never put vegetables in brownies has clearly never tried my frosted zucchini brownies. Vegetables like zucchini, pumpkin, and carrots add incredible moisture to baked goods.
Fruits are a no-brainer, too. Cherries, raspberries, and strawberries all pair beautifully with chocolate.

Making brownies is mostly simple and doesn’t require a lot of fancy equipment. In most cases, you don’t even need a mixer unless you’re aiming for a cakier texture. A good mixing bowl, wooden spoon or spatula, and measuring cups and spoons are all you really need.
When it comes to baking pans, a few choices can make a difference. The size of your pan affects the thickness of your brownies, and if you love the edges like I do, an “all edges” pan is the way to go.

Kitchen Tools that make Brownie Making Easier:
- Kitchenaid Mixer
- Hand Mixer
- 9×13 Pyrex Baking Dish
- 8×8 Baking Dish
- Rubber Spatulas
- Wooden Spoons

I’m most interested in the Nordic Ware gift card and sugar. Holiday baking here we come! These brownie recipes look delicious.
I love all the stuff in the prize package but honestly I would share or better yet just give to my mom. She was very ill and in hospital and rehab for about six weeks with severe pneumonia, sepsis, and blood clots in both lungs. I was there two days prior to her coming home to make sure the house was set. I stayed with her a month to help her out with cleaning and cooking, help to wash her hair etc. She’s still on oxygen 24/7 but is doing much better. I never would have left and went home if I didn’t feel she wasn’t well enough to be by herself. Plus her occupational and physical therapist and nurse that came to house every week also assured me that she was doing well and getting better. Sorry for all that, aside from what I said my mom and I are huge choco fans! Whether it is brownies, cookies, cakes, pies…you name it! The recipes you show here are so scrumptious looking! Im definitely going to make some next time I go and see my mom. Im sure she’ll love it as much as I know I will!
Sharon – I hope that your mom is improving more and more every day!! Best of luck to you for the contest!
