A Toast to the End of the Year -Top 10 Recipes of 2022

Welcome to my annual year in review. Reflecting back on 2022, there was a lot of the same favorites as in the past, but you have all embraced the new recipes that I have offered, too. After the craziness of the past couple of years, this year seemed a little more “back to normal.”

2022 my year in review

I am thrilled that traveling is a “thing” again, and I made the most of it! San Diego, two trips to Florida, and a couple to Colorado, where on one trip I checked Red Rocks Amphitheatre off of my “places to visit” list, and finally, a meet-up with my blogger besties just outside Atlanta.

I saw some fantastic concerts in 2022, and am equally thrilled to be able to attend live shows with my favorite artists. Concert tickets for more favorites are already being acquired for the upcoming year.

Family

We were blessed with our first grandchild on 2-22-22! What an absolute joy it is to be a grandma!! I mean, I knew it would be great — but I had no clue. I am head over heels in love with this little guy! (I think he thinks his grandma is pretty special, too!) And guess what? Here we grow again!

My ever-growing family is expanding with two more babies in 2023! I couldn’t be more elated to get to have more babies to snuggle!

We survived our first year as “empty nesters” but I still haven’t mastered the technique of cooking for two. I’m working on it though.

Calling Northern Iowa Home Part-Time

I am bringing you recipes from my home state of Nebraska but I am now calling Iowa home, too! Living lakeside has been a dream come true. I love the small-town feel of our home in Iowa and enjoy it all seasons. It is just as gorgeous iced over as it is sitting in the middle of the lake watching the sunset in the summertime.

My fur babies love the lake. It’s a constant adventure full of wildlife, walks, and boat rides.

This Was a Really Big Deal For Me

Featured in Omaha Magazine

One of my personal bucket lists since starting my business was to be featured in a magazine. Last year I had that chance and this year I was featured in another. I was featured in Omaha Magazine’s annual Food Issue! A total bucket list item was checked off when I was recognized in this magazine. I have been on cloud 9 about it since it came out in June.
