This easy recipe for a fun frozen treat, starts with one thing – CHOCOLATE PUDDING! Add my suggested chocolate chips, or create your own!
Friday, June 26 … it’s National Chocolate Pudding Day!
Chocolate pudding has always been one of my favorite “go to” chocolate fixes. It’s rich and creamy and in my opinion, perfect in every way.
I recently had the pleasure of trying a new to me pudding. KozyShack Chocolate Pudding!
“Kozy Shack® Pudding is made with simple, wholesome ingredients, so it’s simply delicious. It is the only premium pudding made with simple, wholesome ingredients like milk, eggs, sugar and rice. Kozy Shack® Chocolate pudding is rich and chocolatey, made with real cocoa.”
Folks, this stuff is seriously good. I love that it comes in snack sized packs, and this handy 22 ounce tub. I found it in my grocers dairy section. Now, don’t think we didn’t just eat it the first time right out of the tub with a spoon. (Don’t judge, we are all family here) My kids are hooked.
It was time though, to make a fun summer treat. We have all had pudding pops in the past, as kids they were something we always looked forward to. If you can make a “pop” out of pudding why can’t you freeze it and make an “ice cream” of sorts? It was worth the shot right? Spoiler Alert: It was AWESOME!
Here’s the fun part. The ingredients can be limitless! It starts with one thing – KozyShack Chocolate Pudding – you add your ingredients! I am calling mine triple chocolate, because I started with KozyShack’s Gluten Free Chocolate Pudding, added both dark chocolate and white chocolate chips. Three kinds of chocolate = Triple Chocolate Frozen Pudding! Think of the options you could try – toffee pieces, marshmallows or peanut butter cups — I mean, really anything your little heart desires. Make it your own! Spread the pudding into a shallow dish like I did here, stir in your treat of choice, cover with plastic wrap and freeze.
The outcome … a frozen summer treat, just begging to be eaten!
