Your family will devour these pinwheels, and your friends will ask for the easy recipe.  Isn’t that what we all want when we make a recipe for a party?  No one wants to have the full plate or half eaten bowl of dip to take home at the end of the night.  We want people to rave about the taste and ask for the recipe so they can make it at home.

A couple of years ago, I went to a little Christmas party, held by one of my daughter’s friend’s moms. She said that everyone was to bring an appetizer, and at the end of the night, we would vote on which we liked the best.  The top three won prizes.  I knew just what to bring.  My nephew’s girlfriend had brought a dip over to our house that summer for a pool party.  She called it “Crack Dip” and the moment I tasted it, I knew why.  Sure there are a lot of dips named “Crack Dip” on the web.  But I couldn’t change the name.  Well, that was until it was voted the best at the party, and I accepted my “award.” Prize, award, call it what you want.  I had taken first place.   Since then, that dip had always been called {Award Winning} Crack Dip.

My relationship with Frank’s Kraut spans a few years.  I have developed many sauerkraut recipes for them.  Grilling recipes, soups, salads, appetizers, even a cake!  and Rueben recipes that will blow your mind.  My love of Frank’s Kraut doesn’t just span years, it spans decades.  It’s the only sauerkraut my family has ever eaten.  Coming from Polish and German decent, that’s saying something, isn’t it?

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with a slipat mat or parchment paper.

  • Spread cream cheese mixture over dough, stopping just shy of the edges.
  • Sprinkle with prepared steak, onions and kraut.
  • Sprinkle with cheese.
