Paisley Farm’s new Hot Brussels Sprouts are part of their new line of delicious veggies! Just like it’s predecessors, these Hot Brussels Sprouts are made with only a few ingredients. What other ways could I use these Hot Brussels Sprouts?
- In place of a pickle
- In a Bloody Mary
- Added to a Charcuterie board
- Eat them straight from the jar!
This recipe makes a small batch, perfect for serving a family of four. It would be very easy to double, or even triple for company, though.
We’ve all been there. you’re planning something mediocre for dinner when all of the sudden, company is coming. Keeping jars of Paisley Farm vegetable in your pantry make life easy in a pinch. You aren’t always going to have fresh Brussels sprouts on hand, but keeping a jar or two of these around is easy! They are made with simple ingredients, that most are likely to have on hand.
What’s in this slightly spicy Brussels Sprouts Gratin Side Dish?
- Paisley Farm Hot Brussels Sprouts
- butter
- milk
- white cheddar cheese
- flour
- bread crumbs
- paprika
Begin by draining the Brussels sprouts, then cut them into quarters. Lay them in a shallow baking dish, sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
Prepare the au gratin by melting the butter in a saucepan, then whisking in the flour and then the milk. Add in the freshly grated sharp white cheddar. (It’s also delicious with Gruyere cheese.) Pour over the sprouts, and spread over the top.
Sprinkle with bread crumbs and the paprika over the top and bake it.
In no time it comes out piping hot and ready to serve.
The taste is incredible. No bland veggies here. The vinegar in the process Paisley Farm uses comes through as a nice tang, and it’s perfect with the cheese. I decided the addition of the paprika was a good one, added in bit more spice to the already mildly spice sprouts. I was right!
