Summer cookouts are complete when whatever tasty grilled main dish accompanies garlic bread. My favorite summer dinners are simply a perfectly grilled steak or chicken breast, a nice salad, a baked potato and a crusty loaf of toasted garlic bread.

Sure, I could have made garlic bread with regular ol garlic powder – but I wanted that fresh roasted garlic flavor. I decided it was time to christen my new garlic baker. I had always roasted garlic in foil … I am so tickled I don’t have to do that anymore. This thing rocks!
Simply place the bulbs in the bottom of the baker, drizzle with olive oil and Italian seasoning. Place the terracotta lid over the top and roast in the oven. You house will smell amazing! Squeeze the cloves out of the bulbs and mash to make the butter.
Mashed garlic.
Once it’s all combined, spread over Italian loaves, and bake or grill.
Take it one step further and top with with Mozzarella cheese before baking. More cheese? Yes, Please!
