Banana yogurt, strawberries, shaved chocolate, whipped cream with a cherry on top – This Banana Split Yogurt Parfait is a great snack and healthier alternative.
It seems every time I hit the grocery store I have to pick up more Yoplait! I mean, it’s like a constant cycle around here. Yogurt is eaten around the clock. It’s not just for breakfast in our house! We typically have two kinds, both from Yoplait and both of them the light version in the blue container. The light Yoplait is what we all agree on, one difference, some prefer the regular yogurt the others the Greek style. I buy them both and keep everyone happy!
I am always coming up with ways to use yogurt in recipes. Today is no different. With the kids going back to school this week, I was doing my lunch box supply shopping and my after school snacks at Walmart. Of course that took me to the dairy aisle to get more Yoplait!
The flavor options Walmart has are endless!
My kids take their lunches every day, and sometimes take yogurt along for lunch. Many times though, when they come home from school and they are downright HANGRY, they reach for one because of the ease. I thought it would be fun to come up with some fun to eat snack options with the yogurt we already enjoy!
That is when the Banana Split Yogurt Parfait was born!
(cue angels singing)
It has all of the flavors of a true banana split, banana, strawberry, chocolate … it even has whipped cream and a cherry on top.
Simply layer all of the ingredients in a clear dish, and surprise your kiddos when they get home from a long day at school.
They will thank you, I know they will. Heck, make yourself one, you’ve earned it, and enjoy sometime together talking about their day!

I bet my mother would love this – she eats yogurt three times a day I think. Yay for healthy desserts!

What a great idea, my kids would love these, especially the whipped cream on top!
Andrea says
I totally love this idea. Using yogurt instead of ice cream. Healthier but all the flavors you want. Yum!
