I have been on a bit of a smoothie kick since the first of the year. It’s nice to switch up the breakfast routine, or give yourself a fun little guilt free afternoon snack. My kids ADORE smoothies, and so finding fun new flavors is always exciting. Pineapple and Kiwi are definitely two of my favorite smoothie additions, recently using kiwi in this popular Fiber Smoothie.
Most smoothies are super sweet. This one is refreshingly tangy. If that’s your thing, I know you’d like it. You can use fresh or frozen pineapple in this smoothie, if using the frozen kind, omit the ice.
I also find this perfectly acceptable as a cocktail…. it would be magnificent with some coconut rum!
- 2 kiwi, halved
- 1/2-1 cup pineapple juice (depends on how thick you want it)
- 2 Tablespoons raw honey
Combine everything in the blender and serve! Would be great as a tropical cocktail using some coconut rum!
