Simple ingredients, big flavor! This broccoli salad is a perfect addition to a meal, or makes a perfect meal in itself!
I love salads of any kind, and this broccoli salad from Goodie Godmother didn’t disappoint! I am literally eating the last of it while I type this blog post. SO GOOD! That must be why she named it her “Favorite Broccoli Salad!”
I was lucky to be assigned Mary’s blog, Goodie Godmother, for this month’s Secret Recipe Club reveal. Mary’s blog is a culinary feast for the eyes, as well as the pallet, and full recipes for gorgeous desserts that she balances with clean eating savory recipes. Mary dreams of someday opening a little neighborhood bakery, but for now is having the time of her life with her husband, The Godfather, and her two princesses, one of which is her daughter and the other her dog!
I will confess, when I first began browsing Mary’s website, I planned to go a totally different route with my recipe choice. I was down to two recipes, The Best Pumpkin Cheesecake and Overnight Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls, when I decided to take one more glance through the salads and saw this bowl of deliciousness! Those pumpkin delicacies will be made, pinkie swear, but for this share, it was the broccoli salad. I shared some with the family, but I will confess, I ate most of this myself!
I didn’t change much from the original recipe, other than replacing the pine nuts with sunflower seeds, and reducing the onion a bit. This salad will be made often! It’s a new favorite of mine, too. Thanks, Mary for the great recipe!

This is one of my favorite salads…I never tire of it! Great SRC selection.
One of my favorite salads, too! (I add a little bacon to mine, though.) And I make sure that everyone gets “some”….but I’m a broccoli salad hoarder, too! Ha!! 😀 SO good! Great pick for the SRC! ::)
Broccoli salad is a summer staple around here. Any dried fruit woks. Any seed or nut works. Sometimes I add some bacon. Great SRC choice.
What a great way to change up a salad! Broccoli is a favorite in our house and I like the addition of the seeds and craisins. Now I’m craving a salad for some reason!
A winning way to enjoy broccoli – a household favorite around here.
I’ve had a salad like this before and was totally surprised by how good it was. Good choice!
YAY! I’m so glad you liked it! I have a tendency to eat most of it myself, it makes me happy. And I need to make it again after reading this post. 😉 Thank you so much for the kind words and visiting my blog this month! It’s delightful being in the SRC with you!
Thanks for the great recipe!! 🙂 I have a new broccoli salad addiction! 🙂
