I was like a kid waiting for Christmas morning, when I was waiting for this to arrive. I couldn’t tear the box open fast enough when it did, then off came the lids, and on went my foodie thinking cap to begin deciding what I wanted to make!
ALL of the sauces are AH-Mazing!
We were sent Four Leaf Balsamic Vinaigrette/Marinade, Honey Barbecue Wing Sauce, Honey Dijon Dressing, Orange Habanero Wing Sauce, Hot Wing Sauce and Jamaican Jerk Wing Sauce to play and create with.
We were asked to submit one recipe. I had so much fun cooking and creating for my family! I will have recipes using Saucy Mama sauces to share with you in the very near future, but THIS is the one I chose to share with Saucy Mama and with YOU!
I LOVE hot wings. They are a family favorite. So, let me tell you when I tasted the Wing Sauce, I knew I had to create something with it! Saucy Mama asked us to create a recipe in one of these categories: burger, sandwich, bacon, seafood, pasta or cheese.
We were asked to make a recipe that would was creative, fun to serve and something that is easily re-created.
I broke down a basket of hot wings in my mind; basket with white meat chicken wings, spicy buffalo sauce, celery sticks and bleu cheese dressing for dipping.
My idea was born!
I purchased some high quality ground chicken breasts from my local butcher, no funky additives, just ground chicken breast meat. I crushed some pretzels to use for my bread crumbs to hold everything together.
Using my cookie dough scoop I made small meatballs, so they would easily fit on a sub sandwich.
I browned them on all sides in a small amount of butter in my skillet.
Then simmered them in sauce until we were ready to eat.
I toasted some hoagies, and filled them with SAUCY meatballs, topped them with bleu cheese crumbles and chopped celery.
I served them in baskets full of kettle chips, with LOTS of napkins!
It was the perfect combination! What a fun and easy recipe to serve for a quick and easy weeknight meal, or how about at a tailgate?
I made a couple drizzled in ranch dressing for those ranch lovers, too!
Although I didn’t photograph it, I did one with the Honey Barbecue Wing Sauce for my youngest, who doesn’t tolerate spice very well, and she LOVED it!
