Tart cranberries, bathed in sugar syrup, then dusted in sparkling sugar. Tasty and a beautiful garnish.
How many of you are making cranberries for Thanksgiving tomorrow? If you love cranberries, I urge you to save a few and try these sugared cranberries!
That have a perfect crunch into a tart center surrounded by that dusting of sweet sugar.
I love how they look like they have frost all over them.
Make a simple syrup from sugar and water, toss the cranberries in it, let them set for one hour. Gently toss them in granulated sugar.
Use as a garnish or fun sweet-tart treat.
- 1 (12oz) package fresh cranberries
- 2 1/2 cups sugar, divided
- 1 cup water
In a saucepan over medium heat dissolve 1 cup sugar into 1 cup water. Remove from heat.
Toss cranberries in the sugar-water until coated. Drain excess liquid.
Spread onto a rack to set for 1 hour.
Toss in remaining sugar to coat. Dry for 1 hour.
Tasty and make a beautiful garnish!
