Have you been procrastinating? That 3 day weekend is just out of reach, maybe you have plans already made. Are you supposed to be bringing a little something to share?
You will get to it… maybe check Pinterest to look for something fun to take along, patriotic looking and worthy of your USA pride? Look no further.
As my BFF always tells me, #IGYB (I got you boo!)
These cookies are so fun — perfectly patriotic and shhhh…. EASY!
Make up a batch and take them along, the kids (young and old) will go wild over them!
Pick up two packs of Red, White and Blue M&M’s— you’re going to want to make them again for the 4th of July. Or maybe even before that.
Maybe you would rather have chocolate pudding cookies? I have you covered there, too!!

Patriotic M&M Pudding Cookies
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 3.4 ounce box Instant Vanilla Pudding
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1/4 cup sprinkles I used red jimmies and blue sugar crystals
- 3/4 cup Patriotic Milk Chocolate M&M's or any color for another occasion
Instructions
- Cream butter and brown sugar with your mixer, until fluffy. Add in egg and vanilla, mix to incorporate. Add in the box of instant vanilla pudding, baking soda and salt. Mix in flour until combined. Fold in M&M's and sprinkles.
- Scoop 1 Tablespoon of dough and roll into a ball. Place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment. No need to separate them, you will chill all of them before baking. Cover with plastic wrap and place in the fridge for about an hour.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place chilled cookies 2" apart on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until edges begin to barely brown. Cool 5 minutes on cookie sheet. Transfer to rack to cool completely. Store in airtight container.
- Enjoy within 4 day or freeze for up to one month.

Of course, these could be made with any color of M&M’s and sprinkles. Why wait until a patriotic holiday to enjoy them?
Thanks for sharing! These cookies are excellent. I made a second batch with white chocolate pudding. Oh, my!
Mmmmm! Great idea!
