It’s truly a nation wide craze … the months of Pumpkin Spice EVERYTHING are upon us.

If you hate it, you are most likely sick of it by now.  If you love it (Like ME) you are in a perfect little dream scenario where the world is swirled with cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and sweet pumpkin.  From everything from drinks (non-alcoholic and alcoholic alike) to baked goods — even Oreo jumped on the bandwagon!

A person could honestly go broke stopping for a pumpkin spiced latte every morning they are available, though, right?  Well I am sharing with you today my new favorite find.  This syrup is going to get it’s mileage this fall in our house.  I already have two recipes ready to share, and more swirling around in my brain.  What are YOU going to try it in … or on?? Pumpkin Spice Syrup

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 Tablespoons canned pumpkin
  • 2 teaspoons good quality cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients over the stove in a saucepan, set to medium heat.
  • Stirring until sugar is dissolved.
  • Pour through a mesh strainer to remove any chunkiness.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
