Puppy {love} Chow — Chocolate Raspberry Puppy Chow
Valentine’s Day has always been my most favorite holiday. Call me sappy, cheesy, whatever, I don’t mind. I love every thing about it! I mean, what’s not to love about LOVE?
Of course, I am, and will always be, Hallmark’s poster child. I have been known to tear up reading cards at the store. I love sending them, and receiving them. I think letter writing is a lost art among the next generation. You can’t keep a text message, stacked and tied with a ribbon in an old shoe box. I still have notes from High School that I will dig out and read from time to time.
So, I am sappy? Oh, well. I will wear that name like a prized medal.
This year is the first year that my kids won’t exchange Valentine’s at school. I am so very sad. Helping them decide what they will do for cards, and helping them make their Valentine boxes has always been something I have cherished. My youngest daughter, my mini-me, said she is still doing it though, and for this I am so glad.

I like to make up Valentine treats of some kind for the teachers and my friends. I was trying to come up with something new, and the idea of a Chocolate Raspberry Puppy Chow came to mind.
The raspberry is a subtle addition to the pink-tinted white chocolate, then the whole thing is dusted with powdered sugar, I added some white chocolate chips, some milk chocolate Valentine M&M’s and some X’s and O’s sprinkles.
I think it looks rather festive, don’t you?
