HOMEMADE MOZZARELLA STICKS

Chewy sticks of mozzarella cheese, wrapped in seasoned bread crumbs and deep fried until golden brown and crispy, these Homemade Mozzarella Cheese Sticks are the ultimate finger food appetizer.

STEP ONE 

Combine flour, salt, and pepper, and place in a shallow bowl. Combine eggs with water in another shallow dish. Add bread crumbs to yet another shallow dish.

To prepare each cheese stick, dip it into the egg mixture, then the flour mixture, then give them a second coating of the egg mixture, and finally in the breadcrumbs.

Place the coated cheese sticks on a baking sheet and freeze for at least one hour.

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook half of the cheese sticks in the hot oil for 2-3 minutes, use tongs to turning occasionally until they are golden brown on all sides.
