Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice

Anytime you can make something from scratch, it's just always better.  Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice is no exception to that rule.  Fresh spices, measured by you to your liking and your palate.  Doesn't get any better than that, right?

Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon mace

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
  • Store in an airtight container.

Notes

Use in place of single spices for pumpkin pies and desserts.
Makes enough for approximately 3 pies.
Triple Batch: 3 Tablespoons Cinnamon, 1 1/2 teaspoons allspice and nutmeg, 1 Tablespoon ginger and 3/4 teaspoon of cloves and mace. Makes about 1/3 cup of spice mix.
