Malted Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate malt ovaltine
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter melted (2 sticks)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • In a large bowl whisk together flour, Ovaltine, cornstarch, salt, baking powder and brown sugar. Set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together all of the wet ingredients, fold in dry ingredients until thoroughly combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. On a parchment paper lined cookie sheet, scoop dough with a large scoop, we are making BIG cookies here.
  • Bake for 11-12 minutes. Cool on cookie sheet for 5 minutes then transfer to a cooling rack until cooled completely.
  • Freezes well.
