If you love a traditional Turkey Reuben Sandwich, then you are sure to LOVE a Turkey Reuben Burger! All of the same elements of the beloved sandwich, in one EPIC burger!
3green onionssliced, and divided, use the white part for the burgers
To Dress the Burger:
4hamburger buns
2Tablespoonsbutter
4slicesSwiss cheese
1cupFrank’s Kraut
Thousand Island Dressing
Tops of the green onions
Instructions
In a bowl, combine the burger ingredients and form 4 patties.
Grill or pan-fry the burgers until the internal temperature of the burger is 165 degrees F. Add sliced Swiss cheese and cook until melted.
While the burgers are cooking butter the insides of the buns and grill them until golden brown.
Serve the burgers with a mound of Frank’s Kraut, Thousand Island, and green onions.
Notes
Divide the onions into two parts. Use the white part in the burger patties and reserve the green tops for serving.Leftovers of this turkey hamburger recipe will keep in the fridge for 2-3 days. You can freeze the burgers, without toppings, for up to 3 months. Flash freeze on a cookie sheet and transfer to an airtight container.
