Jalapeño Popper Pigs in a Blanket

Ingredients

  • 1 (8-ounce) package of cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped bacon
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 16 Lil Smokies Sausages
  • 8 fresh jalapeño peppers
  • 2 (8-count) packages of crescent roll dough

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • Add the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, chopped bacon, garlic powder, and salt to a medium-sized mixing bowl. Using an electric mixer on low-medium speed, combine the ingredients until smooth and creamy.
  • Cut each jalapeno in half vertically and use a knife to scrape out the seeds. Fill each jalapeno half with some of the cream cheese mixture and top them with a little smokie sausage.
  • Wrap each jalapeno popper in a piece of crescent roll dough and then place them on a baking sheet.
  • Bake your pigs in a blanket for 12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Serve while hot.

Notes

While these pigs in a blanket are best served fresh, you can store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. Reheat a few of them in the microwave for 30-45 seconds, or until warm. You can also reheat a few in the air fryer for 5 minutes at 370°F. Make sure you preheat the air fryer first.
