Combine the warm milk, yeast, and 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl. Stir to combine. Cover the bowl with a clean dish towel and let it sit for about 5 minutes, or until the mixture is foamy.
Add the eggs, melted butter, honey, and remaining granulated sugar. Whisk for about 1 minute, or until well combined.
Add the flour and mix until the dough begins to pull away from the sides of the bowl.
Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for 5 to 7 minutes, or until smooth and elastic. Alternatively, knead the dough in a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook.
Place the dough in the mixing bowl, cover, and let it rise for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
While the dough rises, prepare the honey butter. Stir together the honey, softened butter, and cinnamon until smooth and creamy.
Roll the risen dough into a sheet about ½ inch thick. Spread about ¾ of the honey butter evenly over the dough, reserving the remainder for topping.
Roll the dough into a log and cut it into 12 even pieces. Arrange the buns in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Cover the baking dish and allow the shaped buns to rise a second time, for about 45-60 minutes or until the rolls have doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
Spread the reserved honey butter over the warm buns. Serve and enjoy!
