Icing Ingredients:
1cuppowdered sugar
¼cupwhole milk
1Tablespoonlight brown sugar
½Tablespoonground cinnamon
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F.
Start by making your cookie dough. Combine the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Use an electric hand mixer to whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
Whisk in the eggs until they are well incorporated with the butter mixture. Add the baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and flour. Whisk again until no dry pockets remain in your cookie dough.
Press about ½ of the cookie dough into a 9x13 inch baking pan. Whisk your filling together and then sprinkle it over the cookie dough. Top the filling with the remaining cookie dough and bake your bars for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
While the bars are baking, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, brown sugar, and cinnamon to create your icing.
Let the bars cool for at least 30 minutes after coming out of the oven. Pour the icing over the bars. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
