Patty mashed potatoes, flour them and fry them to a golden brown. Top them with sour cream and chives. So hearty, you can make a meatless meal out of them but they also make a wonderful side dish.

Instructions
Divide mashedpotatoes to make 8 portions and form into patties.
Mixflour, garlic, salt and pepper together. Dredge uncooked potato patties in flour mixture.
Heatoil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Cook patties for 10-12 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides, turningpatties halfway through cooking time.
