Mug Brownie

A Mug Brownie is a simple way to make a dessert for one that cooks quickly in the microwave and cleans up easily. A warm ooey, gooey chocolate brownie, eggless, with or without nuts, made from scratch, using a hot cocoa packet. Serve it with whipped cream or ice cream and berries for a decadent dessert in an instant!

Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons salted butter
  • 1 1 ounce hot cocoa packet
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 Tablespoons chocolate chips milk or semi-sweet is fine
  • 2 Tablespoons chopped pecans or walnuts optional

Instructions

  • Melt butter in a 12 ounce microwave safe mug.  Stir in hot cocoa mix, flour and milk until combined. Mix in chocolate chips (and nuts if using)
  • Microwave on high for 1-2 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  • Cool slightly.
  • Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream and berries if desired.
