Double Chocolate Caramel Brownies

These Double Chocolate Caramel Brownies are made with devils food chocolate cake mix and have a center made with semi-sweet chocolate chips and gooey caramel.  This recipe is a must make for the chocolate caramel lovers.

Ingredients

  • 1 Devils Food Cake mix
  • 1/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 3/4 cup melted butter (1 1/2 sticks)
  • 1 12 ounce package caramel bits
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup evaporated milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
  • Mix cake mix with 1/3 cup evaporated milk and 3/4 cup butter until smooth. Spread half of the batter into the prepared 9x13 pan.
  • Bake for 8 minutes.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat melt 1/3 cup evaporated milk with package of caramel bits until smooth,
  • When brownies come out of the oven, spread caramel over the top. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the top. Top with remaining batter and carefully spread over the top.
  • Bake for 20 minutes more.
  • Cool and then cut into squares.
