Ingredients
1/2Tablespoonsesame oil
1poundground chicken
2clovesgarlicminced
1oniondiced
1/4cuphoisin sauce
2Tablespoonssoy sauce
1Tablespoonrice wine vinegar
1Tablespoonfreshly grated ginger
1TablespoonSrirachaoptional
18-ounce can water chestnuts, drained and diced
Tops of 3 green onionssliced
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepperto taste
I bag of ready to serve butter lettuce
Instructions
Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground chicken and cook until browned, about 5 minutes, make sure to crumble the chicken as it cooks; drain any excess fat.
Mix in garlic, onion, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, ginger and Sriracha until onions have become translucent, about 1-2 minutes.
Mix in chestnuts and green onions until tender, about 1-2 minutes; season with salt and pepper, if desired.
Pour bag of lettuce in a big bowl. Top with meat mixture, and toss. Serve immediately.
