Ingredients

  • 1 14.3 ounce package Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1 8 ounce package Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1 pound candy melts
  • sprinkles optional

Instructions

  • Using your food processor, crush oreo into fine crumbs. Pour into a mixing bowl.
  • Place softened cream cheese in mixer bowl and using the paddle attachment, mix until Oreos and cream cheese are creamed together.
  • Using your cookie scoop, scoop out portions of cookie mixture and place on a parchment sheet covered cookie sheet. I rolled mine with the palms of my hands, too, to get them nice and smooth.
  • Place cookie sheet int he freezer for an hour or two.
  • Place a couple inches of water in a medium sized sauce pan and place a glass bowl over the top, taking care not to let the bowl touch the water. Turn to medium heat. Place candy melts in the bowl and occasionally stir until they are melted.
  • Place a toothpick in the oreo truffle and dip in the melting candy. Tap to release extra and place back on the cookie sheet. Let candy set.
  • Place remaining melted candy in a zippered bag, snipping of the corner, drizzle over the tops of each truffle and quickly, while it's still wet, sprinkle with sugar crystals or sprinkles. When candy is set, shake off excess.
  • Store in the refrigerator.
