Impossible Pie with Bacon & Swiss

Whether you enjoy this for brunch, breakfast or dinner, when this Impossible Pie filled with bacon and Swiss cheese is served, there are sure to be lots of smiles and happy tummies at the table! A new twist on that old vintage recipe. Easy to make, using common pantry ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of bacon fried crisp and crumbled
  • 3-4 green onions about 1/3 cup, tops reserved
  • 1 heaping cup of shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1 cup Bisquick
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 cup Dorothy Lynch Salad Dressing & Condiment
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees Farenheight.
  • Spread bacon into the bottom of a 9" deep-dish pie plate. Top with onions. Top onions with shredded Swiss cheese.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine milk and eggs. Add in Dorothy Lynch and Bisquick. Mix thoroughly until combined.
  • Pour over the top of the bacon, onions and cheese.
  • Place in the oven for 30 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let stand 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

If you would like to make the slaw that accompanied this recipe, you can find it here. I cut the portion in half and used red cabbage instead of cole slaw mix. I also added a little red onion.
