Chewy Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

Chewy peanut butter bars made with Multi Grain Cheerios, topped with a chocolate peanut butter ganache.

Ingredients

For the Bars:

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 7 cups Multi Grain Cheerios

For the Ganache:

  • 1 1/2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

Instructions

  • Generously butter a 9x13 baking dish. Set aside.
  • In a large pan over medium heat melt together brown sugar and corn syrup until sugar is dissolved. Stir in peanut butter.
  • Remove from heat and stir in Cheerios.
  • Press into 9x13 dish.
  • Cool.
  • Prepare ganache by melting chocolate chips and cream on the stove over medium low heat. Whisk together until smooth and shiny. Remove from heat. Whisk in peanut butter.
  • Pour over bars, let stand to set.
  • Cut and enjoy!

Notes

Hint: When pressing cereal into baking dish, it's really sticky! Lay a sheet of waxed paper over the top and press with your hands! Easy!
