Powdered sugar – is also known as icing sugar or confectioner’s sugar as it dissolves easier than granulated white sugar. 

Powdered milk – I prepared this hot cocoa recipe with powdered milk, any fat content will work but the higher the fat content the richer the flavor. 

Cocoa powder – I used one cup of Dutch processed cocoa powder to add a rich chocolate flavor to this recipe for homemade hot cocoa mix. 

How to make this Homemade Hot Cocoa Mix Recipe

First, Place all the ingredients in a large bowl. 

Next, Whisk these simple ingredients until very well combined. Or you could place all the ingredients in the food processor to combine. 

Finally, Store this dry mix in an airtight container or mason jar.

 

Make Hot Chocolate

To Make Hot Chocolate with this hot cocoa mix recipe, simply combine 1/3 cup of the hot chocolate mix with 1 cup of warm milk or water. Stir until well combined and serve with full-sized or mini marshmallows or whipped cream.
